About

I am the maker behind MAMCE, a multidisciplinary craft and design studio born from a lifelong love of making things by hand. My craft journey began with crochet as a child and has grown over the years to include crochet, macramé, beadwork, woodwork and upholstery. I work primarily with yarn, cord, beads, wood and textiles, combining traditional handcraft techniques with contemporary design to create functional and decorative pieces. My crochet work includes footwear, handbags, accessories and other wearable and lifestyle pieces, while my macramé work extends to wall décor, mirrors, plant hangers and other interior pieces. I also incorporate African-inspired beadwork into selected creations and work with wood and upholstery materials in my bespoke furniture. For me, craft is more than making beautiful objects. It is about creativity, skill, functionality and giving materials a new expression through thoughtful design. Through MAMCE, I create pieces designed with intention and crafted to be remembered.
